Producer KEVIN SHIRLEY Hard At Work On Upcoming LED ZEPPELIN Project

October 15, 2002

Veteran producer Kevin Shirley (IRON MAIDEN, DREAM THEATER) has confirmed that he is working on an upcoming LED ZEPPELIN DVD/CD package, tentatively titled Led Zeppelin: The Ultimate Collection, due sometime before spring 2003 through Atlantic Records.

"Yes, it's true!" Shirley wrote on his official web site. "I have been hard at work on a LED ZEPPELIN project for release next year. I've been keeping it mum, but it's everywhere now, on the radio, in the papers, etc. And all I will say is it's mammoth and fantastic!"

As previously reported, the DVD set will include concert footage, interviews and remastered performances in one incredible set. Among the goodies available will be a film of the band's legendary 1970 Royal Albert Hall concert mixed in 5.1 Surround Sound, as well as a 1975 Earl's Court show. Rare Bootlegs and early TV appearances will round out the anthology. A two-CD set, which may appear as early as the Thanksgiving, is also in the works, and will feature live music either in 5.1 Surround or two-channel stereo.
